Review for The Osito Foundation, Spring, TX, USA
I was a first time volunteer at the Historic Event The Osito Foundation held on Feb. 12 2010 Children's AIDS Day. The event was an all day seminar by some of the best speakers, Doctors who work with HIV adults and children, Insurance companies, Lawyers who help to defend and fight for the rights of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee sent a spokes person from her office with Special Congressional Recognition and Mayor Annise Parker of Houston spoke and delivered a Proclamation making Feb. 12 2010 Children's AIDS Day.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing first hand the passion the founders have for raising awareness about children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
hope that they would have more money to grow and provide more services for the child around the world.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
seeing all the Doctors, Lawyers, Insurance, Media, Volunteers the day of Chidlren's AIDS Day passion for the children.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the mission of The Osito Foundation.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
a lot of kids around the world would get a teddy bear and I'm sure more than just a teddy bear knowing their passion to help these kids.
Ways to make it better...
If more people would have attending. It was a cold snowy, rainy day in Houston and I think it affected the turn out.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
they are underfunded and are limited on what they can do.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Teddy bears are important to the mental health of these children. Often it is over looked because we think of food, clothing, shelter and medicine. But if the emtional/mental health is not met then sometimes the other things don't help.
