As a member of the ukulele group that plays singalongs at nursing homes and assisted living facilities, it is always amazing to watch reactions of certain members in the audience. One resident who we were told hadn't spoken in a number of months actually started singing when she heard a familiar song! Others who at first seem to be sleeping in their wheelchairs will perk up and start tapping a foot or clapping their hands. It is such fun to see what joy these old songs can bring to the residents....and many know all the words!
