Review for The CJ Foundation for SIDS, Inc., Hackensack, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The CJ Foundation for SIDS is an amazing organization. During the past year since our beautiful daughter passed away from SIDS, they have been there to encourage, support, and listen to my family grieve the loss of our daughter. With the help of the CJ Foundation, we organized a 5k run/walk in our area to help provide additional funding for SIDS research, an area that's severely lacking in today's world. The CJ Foundation ensures that your donation goes directly where you would like it to be. We are grateful for their support during this most difficult time our lives. Once our daughter passed away, my wife and I knew that we wanted to get involved to help determine the true cause of these senseless deaths to SIDS, and the CJ Foundation has provided opportunity for that involvement.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

their unending support of my family during this time of loss and grief. They have provided literature and other items to help us understand why this happened to our baby girl.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the caring people involved with this organization.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring, helpful, and supportive.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

support research that would make a significant difference in our understanding of why and how SIDS occurs and potential ways to help prevent this terrible cause of death from afflicting other families.

Ways to make it better...

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

garnering additional funding during the economic downturn and competition from other non-profits for those dollars.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this organization needs support from SIDS-affected families as well as relatives, friends, and coworkers of people who have been affected by SIDS in order to succeed. It is a great organization that should be supported to the fullest.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
