I’ve been volunteering at PHS/SPCA for 23 years. I’ve seen the organization grow into something about which they should be incredibly proud. They do amazing work and are a true asset for the community.

PHS/SPCA is a great organization. They have wonderful leadership, and have built an unrivaled volunteer program. While they are not what some consider a "No Kill" animal shelter, they only euthanize animals when it's in the best interest of the animal (i.e., when an animal is suffering, and cannot recover or when an animal's behavior is dangerous, and the behavior cannot be corrected). Since they are connected to the county as the animal control agency, they have to accept every animal that comes through its doors.
