The Divine Lineage Center has greatly impacted my life.

I have been living at the Center for the past three years, working as a full-time volunteer. During this time, I've had countless experiences that have enriched and grown my awareness of the value of compassion and generosity. Here is one example:

Every Christmas, the Divine Lineage Center provides for the low-income community of Laytonville 'Christmas Baskets'. These 'Christmas Baskets' are full of good food, treats, and gifts - everything a family needs to experience a nice Christmas meal.

One year as a volunteer, I had the good fortune of helping to package these 'baskets' and deliver them to families. It was a moving experience. As I distributed the food, I saw how many of the items like eggs, a turkey, fruit, were things I had easily taken for granted in the past. I'd always enjoyed Christmas meals without thinking of the possibility of not being able to. It was humbling, and working in a group with other volunteers made me feel like I was part of something worthwhile. It was a win win - humbling, heart opening, and authentically community building.

I've come to experience that what I felt in the instance above, is characteristic of all works that I've been involved with during my three years at the Center.

Whether you are a spiritual seeker or someone who just wants the opportunity to do some good in the world, the Divine Lineage Center is a place to contact. As an organization they exclude none, and focus their attention as a priority on those in need in all aspects of life.
