Review for The Osito Foundation, Spring, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have donated teddy bears to The Osito Foundation. I believe in the mission to help provide a child comfort and love via a teddy bear. The children that The Osito Foundation serves are for the most part living in households with less than $10,000 a year income. The children can't go out and earn income to make things better at home. So I feel that the emotional comfort that a teddy bear a teddy bear provides is crucial for their emotional and mental health.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

attending the first ever Children's AIDS Day. The Osito Foundation hosted the first ever in history a day that honored the children and the families who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

The biggest change I would want is for more people to know about what The Osito Foundation.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their events are always fun.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

always very happy, friendly and care about the mission to help children.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

It would be able to help children around the world. First they would show the children that someone cares with a Teddy Bear and then follow that up with social services.

Ways to make it better...

the events were bigger.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

that a lot of people think that a teddy bear is not as important as other things. I feel since a child can't go earn money to solve their problems, we as adults should think of their mental health. And a teddy bear is a great friend to a sick and needy ch.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  General Member of the Public & I have donated Teddy Bears.
