I have donated to and volunteered with the Food and Water Action Fund. This is an excellent organization. As a retiree, I have worked non-stop for this nonprofit, and while there are many, many things to be frightened about in our country, this organization gives me great hope and a great toolbox to accomplish the goals. This year we worked on a state bill to ban fracking and won in Maryland. Maryland is not the only state in which there are chapters and activities. It's been a powerful organization that produces excellent research, bold goals, and strategies that move through legislative channels like an ice breaker! I am proud to volunteer with this organization and hope that everyone who worries about what is in their water and food will work with them, too. Pollution of water and air which is exacerbating climate change will either be an end to us all, or we will have people of the United States and around the world adapting and developing sustainable ways of working together. Furthermore, Food and Water Action Fund has started an OFF campaign, which if passed, will have the U.S. government and Maryland ending the use of fossil fuels by 2035. Thanks to the bold and strong Food and Water Action Fund, I feel I have made a difference in the world.
