Review for Travis Manion Foundation, Doylestown, PA, USA
I learned about the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) after I read the book, "Brothers Forever." Having lost a daughter at birth myself, Trinity Lombardo, and a nephew at 4 1/2 to bone cancer, Adam Wayne Drabek, I could relate to the anger Col Manion must have felt with the loss of his brave son. Instead of throwing out the "white flag" & being consumed in self-pity, Col Manion, a selfless servant for decades, was determined to honor his son Travis by turning his tragedy into a legacy of service to others! I have been affiliated with the TMF for a year now, having completed TMF Ambassador training about 6 months ago. Wearing the TMF "If not me than who" band, I am amazed at the dedication, commitment, & drive of the people I have met intentionally & accidently in my travels, including Gold Star mothers who deeply appreciate the memory of their sons being kept alive in a worthy cause. A former Marine myself & current FBI Agent, I know the best way to honor our fallen is to live a better life & encourage our youth to be more focused on "outcome" rather than "income," meaning they chose to serve others first....not themselves! I am honored & privileged to support TMF with my finances & my time, honoring our fallen by getting engaged in supporting & inspiring the next generation of servant leaders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TMF has my commitment for life because they are committed to strengthening this nation one young man & woman at a time!
