I began working with Anchor's Up just short of a year ago. Cherie is a woman who's love for animals, dogs in particular, is unmeasurable. Her belief is rescuing the underdog, the cute adorable ones will be saved it's the forgotten, the overlooked, the ones nobody wants that we focus on. When we rescue a dog,one of the first priorities is to have said pup taken to our vet for initial exam. We have labs taken, dental exam, x-rays if needed and if there's a reason for treatment we schedule follow up.
As an example of the kind of character the Anchor's Up Crew possesses, recently Cherie forwarded an email to me from a shelter here in Cali that had two dogs that were in serious danger of being pts. Cherie had asked if I would please see what I could do for them. I am part of her Cali Rescue Team. So I did just that. I coordinated with shelter staff to arrange for pick up of these two beautiful boys and on Friday drove 2 1/2 hours one way to save them! What's more the woman at the shelter said she had sent out over 100 emails to a variety of non profit rescues, and the like but that we were the only rescue to respond and come thru. These two are currently being vetted and after a few weeks of settling into living outside the shelter they will be ready for their forever family!
Cherie's a person with a heart of gold! These abused, neglected, abandoned pups are extremely lucky to have her on their side. She is anything but irresponsible in the care of these dogs, no, she in fact goes above and beyond. Anyone who claims otherwise is a person with envy in their heart. I love being a part of Anchor 's up Rescue Group! Irescue4life
