My wife and I had the opportunity to go to Taiwan, along with a team of 3 others, to do some construction projects, in a dorm building. We put in new bathroom counters with sinks, some tiling work, painting, and general clean up in the building. Even though Taiwan did not have the supplies and materials that we in America are accostumed to having at our local home improvement big box stores, we made the best of what we got. Although it was the hottest time of the year to go, we had a great time! The hosts of the YWAM base were great and very hospitable. The food was very good and the city of Taipei was generally very safe. Many a night, I was walking the riverfront late at night. I don't recommend that but I felt safe. Overall we had a very positive experience. It was nice to know that we had people praying for us while we were "on mission!"
