Review for Arizona Animal Welfare League, Phoenix, AZ, USA
I really loved this organization. I have been following the page for over 6 months and knew for sure I would be adopting my cat there. The Chandler location is a really great location. Even though small, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The cat for me just wasn't there. So I went to the main location in Phoenix and it's amazing HOW much of a difference it was. The staff in the cat adoption section were extremely rude. Or I guess I should say mainly the girl at the adoption desk. So rude, short, snippy And ignorant. She made us feel stupid for asking any questions about the cats. It is an extremely important process to pick out a pet for your family. You need to find the one that works for you. The personalities go hand in hand. And the front desk worker cut us off and barely helped is. I was not happy at all. I know the dog adoption section is great and I've only heard great things but I'm seeing more and more bad reviews on the cat adoption workers. I don't understand what's wrong with asking questions about the pet you are going to bring into your family. It's important to know about health, food, past, behaviors etc. We didn't get much information. We did get her health records but when we asked any questions all we got in response was a short and rude tone, "is there something wrong with the medical records?". Especially adopting a kitten that was under 6 months I wanted to be absolutely sure our family knew how to take care of her and she will be comfortable. I'm still thinking about the day we adopted our cat and wished it would have been a better experience. I would have 100% left if I didn't fall in love with the kitten we adopted. She was truly perfect. But unfortunately I will not be going back unless something is done about the workers. And I really don't want this to stop me or others from adopting potential animals that we can care for and give them a great home and life.
