Review for Richardson Rescue, York, SC, USA
A few years ago, a large dog showed up on our property. He was covered with fleas, and ticks, he was dirty , and skinny. He wasn't the best looking dog, but he needed help. We tried to find someone to claim him, but no luck. Already, I had bathed him and put Frontline on him,and feed him some good meals. But we couldn't keep him. We already had two cattle dogs, and they were enough for us. I started calling rescue groups asking if they could take him. All the ones I ask ,would tell me they were full & couldn't take anymore dogs. I kept calling till I got "Richardson's Rescue". They told me they were also full but if I could bring him down there they would take him. I drove down there, It was a long drive, but I found them . Their place is sitting in the woods, with lots of room for the dogs. They took this dog & put him in a fenced lot with room for him to play. While there I visited some of the other well cared for dogs. I sat and watched them work for awhile. I was impressed with how everyone seemed focused on their jobs caring for the dogs. A few small dogs were loose in the house, along with a new mother with her puppies. Since then they have added more buildings,& kennels. Over the years I have visited, to donate things for yard sales, which they have to earn money for the Rescue. I've always been impressed by them. I think I could just stay there, but I'd be in their way. I'll say one thing, they are one of the best. Also, BY the way, They found a wonderful home for the dog I took down to them.
