Review for Somali Women And Childrens Alliance, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This Organization is one of the most dedicated places i have volunteered in a long time. They never turn anyone away even if they don't have funding.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

many ways, for example being involved ESL classes, job placements, and many more...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

None

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Feeling the spirit and the satisfaction of helping other in need.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Really an awsome group of people to work with.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help so many people culturaly adopt to their new society. They could fund some of the great programs they have, and start some new ones.

Ways to make it better...

They had more volunteers in this organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Lack of funding for some of their great programs.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Hawa Siad the organizations Executive is one of the most hard working and dedicated people that i have ever met. she cares about the issues of women and children in particular, but immigrant issues in general.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Board Member & I helped with many things in this organization, from helping immigrants find jobs to helping them gap the bridge to cultural and language barriers.
