As a former teacher, I want to support a charity that is efficiently run and that empowers women and girls through education. Mujeres de Maiz is just such an organization. The board members all volunteer considerable time and energy on fundraisers in order to provide scholarships and educational programs for the women and children of Chiapas, Mexico. The foundation distributes an annual newsletter to supporters clearly depicting programs and services provided by the donations. Mujeres de Maiz is an excellent foundation and very worthy of support.
