We had two pugs already and had been donating to MAPR when we decided to start fostering. Our experience with the entire process of being approved to foster greatly impressed me. They truly want to make sure that foster homes and adoptee homes are the best! I can not remember one instant where MAPR has not taken in a pug in need regardless of the circumstances, even those with health issues that will be expensive to care for. This is a group that never says no. The support of its members (from the coordinators, to the foster parents, to those who drive miles to pull/rescue and deliver to a foster, to those who conduct fundraisers, to those who financially support and to those who choose adoption over buying) is truly phenomenal!
