My husband is a combat wounded warrior. We weren't married during his time in service, so I was unfamiliar with his injuries and how to handle them.
YRF has given me so much information, and allowed me a safe space to vent my frustrations and ask questions without being made to feel ignorant.
I have been fortunate enough to attend many of the events our YRF hosts and have made wonderful friendships. It's nice to have some "me" time in the midst of the daily grind. It's also wonderful that YRF includes our spouses and families for date nights etc. Our soldiers are a wealth of information themselves and their participation helps get that info out there.
I am so thankful I was invited to be a part of this organization and I look forward to many years of friendship!
