Five years ago I rescued a young German Shepard from a local shelter . He had been seized from a breeding facility . He had spent his first year outside . He had never worn a collar , been shown any love or even had a toy to play with . I enrolled in classes at the Austin Dog Alliance
to help me teach him basic manners . The trainers there saw some thing intuitive about my dog . After we had completed two manners classes they urged me to continue into therapy training with him . We have just completed our third year as a therapy team . My dog has taught me so much about compassion and patience . It is all because of Austin Dog Alliance .
