I've sponsored a child with Children International since 2014, and it's been a heart-warming experience. I sponsored an older child (now 14), because my father was raised in poverty and always appreciated getting Christmas gifts from a charity when he was a teen. As I've written my child, I've learned about several interests that we share. I always feel like she's blessing me when I'm meant to be a blessing to her, as she's so positive, joyful and grateful. I'm glad she's getting all the support she needs with education (she wants to be a cop when she grows up to help people!) and medical needs so she can stay healthy. Her family gets by on very little money, so every bit helps. I was able to buy her a bicycle through Children International. I LOVE my bicycle and it was a treat to give her that same opportunity. It made my day when I received a photo of her with her new bicycle! Great organization, great experience.
