My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), Washington, DC, USA
EESI is the go to source for facts. They only use reliable sources and would never want to mislead the public on any information. They have no political slant, and do not favor/put down any companies. They simple want to educate the public and the political sector on environmental and energy facts. More than just educating on the facts, they offer solutions. They do not just present a problem, but they show REAL solutions that have been used and tested and even help implement some of them. EESI helps utilities set up on-bill financing programs for energy makeovers of low-income houses. The loan is repaid through their utility bill each month. They have briefings for Congressional staffers and members of Congress themselves. I think this is so important because often times those with political authority are not able to educate themselves on everything there is to know, so EESI is here to help clear any gaps of uncertainty when it comes to environmental and energy facts. EESI’s fact sheets are the most helpful way to get a solid background on a particular topic. Their articles keep you updated with news and educate you on environmental facts while doing so. I know EESI is making a difference on the Hill and to the general public with education and outreach and I hope to see nonprofits flourish for decades to come.
