This was our church's first experience with Mission Guatemala and I would proudly and wholeheartedly recommend them. Dave, Shannon and Max did a wonderful job working with us to create a mission trip unlike any our church has ever experienced. Daniel, our team coordinator, and all our Guatemalan interpreters, workers, and foremen were so helpful and patient on the work site. Our accommodations at the River House were superb and the food was outstanding! We also had three opportunities to enjoy Guatemalan culture in Chichicastenango, San Juan, and Panajachel, as well as tour the medical, dental, and optometry clinic that Mission Guatemala operates. I love the way that Mission Guatemala offers a helping hand up while preserving dignity, pride, and self worth. They care about the people of Guatemala and have cultivated an atmosphere of trust and love within the community. The folks at Mission Guatemala are doing things right and taking the proper steps to work with the people of Guatemala for the benefit of everyone. If you want to experience Guatemala and work with some wonderful people who are helping to make lives better for others, then this is the organization for you and your church.
