This is an organization that works tirelessly to facilitate its mission. When we discovered a litter of feral kittens born under our neighbor's front porch steps, I reached out to Cannoli. Within hours, I had a reply with several plans for helping the kittens and mother. Since then the mother has been trapped, vaccinated, fixed, and released back to a healthier life. The kittens have been trapped, and we've coordinated fostering with Cannoli, who have provided flea medication, feeding advice, kitten visitors for facilitating the much-needed human contact to the little ones, and just this week took them to be vaccinated and neutered. They've helped my husband at the neighborhood fire station with stray dogs using their chip reader; they've driven countless feral cats in the neighborhood to be fixed; they help people feed their trapped and released colonies, and they are clear with ideas and practicalities when it comes to managing the ever present problem of stray animals in San Antonio. I cannot emphasize enough the way this nonprofit keeps its promises, and only makes promises it can keep, and to a population of creatures that is in great need.
