Dogs on Deployment is an amazing group of civilians, active duty military, and pets! As someone who has been with a Navy guy for almost a decade, this group has been a phenomenal way to stay involved with our community and military family. I joined DoD when we moved back from husband's overseas duty station in 2014. I got to know the group in Pensacola, FL and now in Hampton Roads, VA.

DoD connects all types of animals to all types of people in order to help support our military (all branches) while they train, deploy, relocate, and deal with random pet issues. I can't imagine volunteering with a better group of people. No matter how many times we move, I'll be involved in DoD in some way. I love being involved with DoD, no matter how many deployments the hubs goes on or how much he's away during training, I will always have a Dogs on Deployment family. We've hosted events, participated in bowling tournaments, served for beer fests, been at dog expos, been at mullet tosses (yep, that's a thing), hosted dog bath days, been at too many animal shelters to count, painted bridges, attended concerts, been to hockey games, and had a blast at everything. You can't beat a group of people who want to support our military AND love animals. :)
