While on active duty as a Navy Nurse I had the opportunity to volunteer at a local unit, first as the Medical Officer, then as the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is by far the best volunteer, non-profit organization I have worked with. The programs they support through private and government donations are able to shape America's youth and the next generation workforce using the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. The administrative costs for the organization are extremely low so you know your donations are being used directly for programs to support the cadets.
