Review for PAWS New England, Millington, TN, USA
How lucky could we be to have found PAWS of NE and our little princess, Molly! We have had her for almost a year now and she is the biggest joy to my husband and me. We were unfamiliar with PAWS, but found Molly while searching online. We had recently moved to our favorite retirement destination, when we came in contact with Elaine through PAWS. Funny thing was this foster mom was from a community close to where we used to live so I recognized the telephone area code and exchange number when it was given to us. We had several conversations with Elaine and she explained that even though she was Molly's foster mom, she had also adopted her. But after a while, even though she loved (and still does!) love Molly, she had to give her up because Molly was not happy. She had other foster animals, and she knew that Molly wanted to be the single dog in the family. Elaine did this for her love of Molly. After being approved we were able to meet Molly. The first words out of my husband's mouth were "She's beautiful!" Shortly after meeting our princess, we had a situation arise that would cause us to delay our adopting her. The staff at PAWS worked with us and Elaine was gracious enough to keep her until we could take her. We didn't want to lose her!!! When it was time for the delivery day Elaine came to us. We know how difficult it was for her. We were all in tears. But she said she knew when she met us that we were the right family for Molly. We most certainly still feel that way!!! The other great part of this relationship is that we have family back in Elaine's community, so every time we get a chance to go back, we let Elaine know, and we all meet up for lots of hugs. And Molly still runs to Elaine every time for kisses! What does that say about a great person, and foster & adoptive mom? Now Molly has a "dadda & a new momma," and she loves all of us. Thank you so much to PAWS of NE for not only finding us a new furry baby, but also a new dear friend who we can still call for advice if we need to!
