Review for Extreme Missionary Adventures, Rayville, LA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This charity is all about reaching the nations for Christ. The leaders are great people and I built awesome relationships with them. I spent the first week in the mountains around Wiwili with Terry Parks and some translators, David and Raul. We spent time reaching the locals through games and films. We told Bible stories and showed several faith based films. The second week I spent in the town of Ocotal. We went to 2 different churches and did some Vacation Bible School activities by playing games, teaching Bible stories, and making crafts. The ways that we saw God work and the experiences that we had were absolutely amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything. You may have to rough it a little bit and get a little dirty but the leaders make sure you are taken care of by providing food and lodging so that you can spend your time focusing on God and the work He is having you do. I loved this non-profit and I plan to take a trip with them again.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the people of Nicaragua come to know Christ and through my experiences on the trip I took with them

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not change anything. Seriously.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how easy they made it to do God's work without having to stress over the details of food and lodging.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

amazing. They were some of the friendliest people I've ever met and they work hard to make sure we have an amazing experience. You can see their love for Christ through their life and through their work.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

light the world on fire for God. They could reach so many more places and people and they would have so many more resources. It would also help to offset the costs of bringing missionaries into the various countries.

Ways to make it better...

. My experience was amazing and I really don't know how it could have been better. Anything that went wrong or wasn't enjoyable had absolutely nothing to do with this organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of resources and people. They need more people to come be missionaries to assist them in doing God's work. They also need more resources to help them reach the people once the missionaries are there.

One thing I'd also say is that...

You will not regret partnering with the organization for your missions experience.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Volunteer & I spent 2 weeks in Nicaragua reaching the people around Ocotal and Wiwili by showing the Jesus film, working with children, playing sports with the locals, and teaching them about Christ.
