Review for Womens Intercultural Network Inc, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I went to the UN Commission on the Status of Women Beijing + 15 with WIN in New York City, March 1.- 12. 2010. After this inspiring and motivating meeting I volunteered with WIN, writing articles and developing social media sites. I am now a compassionate member of the WIN Global Advisory Counsil. WIN connects women and girls across cultures, differences, and countries. From my hometown Oslo, Norway, I realize over and over how important this mission is. Women's organizations need to be connected to work for change locally and globally. I am now looking for Norwegian organizations to connect with WIN.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by participating at Beijing +15, where WIN did two remarkable panels, and by following the amazing leader Marilyn Fowler in her impressive work to connect women and girls across cultures.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would be grateful to see WIN being funded at a larger scale so that the organization can do its important work without being limited by the funding aspect.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

its remarkable ability to connect girls and women across cultures, differences, and countries.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I have worked closely with the amazing Marilyn Fowler. She works tirelessly to make changes locally and globally so that women all over the globe can enjoy equal rights. I have also met several women working with compassion for WIN's mission.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world to become a more equal place where girls and women had a stronger and wiser voice.

Ways to make it better...

the organization had better funding.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

WIN is searching for global connections. This has happened, is happening, and will conitnue happening. Stable funding will support this important process.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I'm impressed by the work this organization puts down to really make a change.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
