I visited HSHV many times looking for just the right cat to be a companion for another stray I took in. One day I saw a cat in a crate and he looked so sad. I went home and while he wasn't quite what I was looking for, I went back. I had many questions about him and the woman at the desk pulled up his file. She was able to give me infornation that made it sound like it might work, and then she added, "He's in the community cat room." With I knew he could be around other cats so I went to visit him. At that time they had just put new cats in the community room so they were keeping visitors out for awhile. I explained there was only one cat I was interested in, so she got permission for me to go in. I went to say hello to my prospect. He came right up to me and followed me back to the bench. He picked me and that was it. I've had Preston two years and he's a great friend. Thanks HSHV!
