Review for HUMANE SOCIETY OF HURON VALLEY, Ann Arbor, MI, USA
After losing my beloved senior cat, I spent several weeks at HSHV getting to know several kitties here to see if I was ready to bring a new one into my life. Each time, the staff was caring and helpful in trying to match me up with a personality that would be a good fit for me, even though it took quite some time for me to feel ready. I also had a great time at Tiny Lions, HSHV's cat cafe, which helped with the healing process. Finally, one day, a helpful volunteer who listened carefully to what I was looking for in a cat, introduced me to the kitten who is now Noot. She had been badly injured prior to coming to HSHV, and it was clear that she had been given good care and was on the mend - she would not have survived without HSHV's medical attention. HSHV helped me to continue to care for Noot as she mended, and a dedicated volunteer guided me through introducing her to my resident cat, even apologizing when it took her more than 12 hours to return an email! Now Noot is healed and vivacious and healthy, and I am deeply grateful for the care and attention we both received at HSHV.
