I have volunteered and "shopped" at the Humane Society. I have always, and continue to, marvel at their dedication to the animals.

When trying to adopt I was advised away from some animals (as I am an older, smaller woman and the advisors thought some dogs too aggressive for me).

Its always my first place to shop when looking for a new pet.
