I LOVE the HVHS! I have adopted from them 5 times and couldn't be happier with my fur babies. The HVHS is ALWAYS clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. When I had to surrender a beloved pet due to a family illness, they didn't make me feel guilty and gave me a number to call and check on her, which I have done weekly. They also promote nature/animal issues in their community, such as providing factful information on a deer cull in a local park, taking in barn cats, helping the authorities with hoarding situations, promoting child-friendly programs and they have a Love Wagon which rescues fur babies as far away as Texas.
