I first heard Kurt Lieber speak in September of 2016, and his photos of the Ghost Gear the ODA retrieved from the ocean woke me up to the severity of the problem. It was some comfort to learn of the dedication of Lieber's volunteers in their vigilance and pursuit of the unholy traps that still lay undersea to maim and kill wildlife.
