My opportunity to travel with Health Ed connect this summer was an incredible blessing both in the relationships and perspectives that I gained. I have never fully realized how critical that Health Ed connect's focuses on education for all and personal relationships really are to individuals and communities. I am inspired and awed by HEC's passion for accessible education for orphans and the ways that they empower others to strive towards that goal. And I am also touched by their kindness and intentionality with every single person they meet along their journey, whether health worker, taxi driver, airport employee, or anything else. My travels have reminded me to never take for granted a trip to the library, the zoo, a museum, or my free public high school education. I am inspired by their efforts to open up some doors to accessing information to orphans, some of the most vulnerable children in Zambia.
