Apopo works with much maligned rats to diagnose tuberculosis and sniff out land mines. It is amazing and life-saving work. Rats also get a chance to show they are like any other animals and that they have good traits. Lives have been saved and tuberculosis is being diagnosed and treated sooner than was previously possible.
