Apopo does amazing work with trained rats in two ways: sniffing out land mines, and detecting tuberculosis in samples with amazing accuracy. Either one of these projects is amazing and worthy of noticing, but the two together is truly amazing. Rats are such amazing creatures, and their handlers and trainers are just as amazing.
