Review for Bais Chana Women International Inc, Brooklyn, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Living life fully is what we all strive for, and the prerequisite for this is knowing and being who you are. The freedom of being yourself starts with feeling safe. Bais Chana is a a safe haven where the souls of women are brought to the surface, and explored with honesty. When this "open soul surgery" takes place, and you have the opportunity to cradle that soul in your hands, a holistic transformation takes places. All that life is, comes from this point. And, what comes next is continuous, organic growth. Bais Chana - I first went in 1993 when I was a young mother, with my baby in my arms. Now, that baby goes to Bais Chana. I feel a sense of deep, soulful security, knowing that my she is getting what I got, and for generations, this will matter...not only to my descendants, but to the communities they live in and nurture as well.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My daily life has been enriched because I have a greater understanding of the power of women's roles in relationships, family and community. I can see deeper, and be more effective on a deeper level.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

All that Bais Chana is, is good - I wouldn't change anything they already are. I would like to see expansion, however. I think that the administration is up for it, but, I know it requires expansion of financial resources.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

being with other women who are also making the choice to grasp life and share openly.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

individuals who are the guiding stars of this generation. They shine.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand it's fertile grounds and foster healthy growth in many communities in many countries by cultivating wise and knowledgeable women.

Ways to make it better...

I could have afforded to attend more often.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

economic. Financial viability will enable retention of staff and program expansion.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I hope that Bais Chana is able to expand beyond retreats and form local chapters to provide ongoing support to its women.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year
