This is an independent Springer Spaniel rescue that works to rehome and rehabilitate English Springer Spaniels (ESS) from New York through North Carolina. This group is not nor have they ever been affiliated with any other ESS rescue group operating in the US.

With over 600 volunteers strong, MAESSR operates 19 separate teams of volunteers who perform all the work accomplished by this group. From owner relinquishments to social media, from adoptions to transportation, each team functions within the defined parameters and answers to coordinators who oversee the work of that specific team. Adopters apply and go through extensive interviews and are matched to a dog best suited to succeed in that individual families environment.

I have been consistently impressed with the caliber of people who volunteer and the dedication of what they do. Thumbs up to a well organized group of committed volunteers!
