As a lifelong volunteer member (coming up on 37 years) of the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad I have I have a lot of insight and some perspective. First and foremost, I work with an incredible group of dedicated volunteers who spend hundreds, if not over 1000 hours a year providing services to the citizens of greater southern Montgomery County, MD. We get a lot of satisfaction in what we do. The leadership of the rescue squad works tirelessly to support these efforts behind the scenes. We are proud to provide all-volunteer services to our community every night of the week and each weekend. I am proud of the work that all of us do to keep our community safe.

I have been associated with the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad for over 35 years. The dedicated men and women of this organization provide vital services to the Wheaton community. Their dedication to serve others is remarkable. Your won't find better EMS services anywhere.

I have dedicated 35 years of my life to volunteering at the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad. I enjoy giving back to my community. The Rescue Squad has been there for my wife, my parents, my grandmother as well as friends and neighbors. I want to be there so other families feel the same support.

I have been an active volunteer sine 1985. I enjoy responding to the needs of the community and giving of myslef to help others. I especially enjoy mentoring new members and building their knowledge and skills in the area of Emergency Medical Services. Each life we touch and save is important to us. There is no greater calling than helping those who cannot help themselves.

I have had the honor of serving this organization for over 30 years. I have seen firsthand on hundreds, if not, thousands of occasions how community members in crisis or in an emergency have been helped, saved and aided by these dedicated volunteers. On a more Personal note, the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad has saved my father's life and have aided my mother and grandmother. An organization truly dedicated to others. Jay Gruber
