The founder of FFF has been traveling to Guatemala for many years. While working with another non profit that sets up clinics for the poor she recognized the overwhelming need of abandoned women and children in the mountains where services are non existent.
She started FFF to feed these families and her efforts grew to include replacing rotten, leaking, bug infested dwellings with block houses and sound roofs. Then she recognized that to move these families out of poverty education was needed for at least one family member. This organization is small but does big things. Some mothers have been provided the means to set up small local businesses. The goal is to provide a safe living environment , adequate nutrition and a route to a better life.
Due to the volunteers who run this they achieve great things.
