I first got wind of this nonprofit organization in 2006 when the founder's daughter explained to me Aumazo's mission statement. Empowering girls through education is a brilliant idea that has gained more and more attention (yet not enough) since the inception of the UN's Millenium Development Goals. Indeed, Aumazo, Inc's mission targets several of the MDGs and provides a better future for a large number of girls. However, there is a really big need for improvement and especially more numerous organizations taking on that challenge because progress is taking too long. Aumazo, Inc, which was started not so long ago, is one such organization that has grown and accomplished many things with little financial support. I am really impressed with everything they have done up to this day, from raising awareness and promoting the Aumazo name to opening an actual school in Cameroun in the very near future. Aumazo, Inc. is the epitome of a nonprofit organization working to improve the lives of people by empowering them through education so that they can finally break the vicious cycle they are trapped in and go on to achieve their dreams. Again, I repeat my utmost respect for this NGO that has come a long way since it's inception.
