A few years ago I happened to catch part of a documentary on obstetric fistula and my heart went out to the women had been so adversely affected by this condition. It was great to see the work of a doctor who had dedicated her life to helping these women and how a relatively simple operation could transform their lives. I sought out a way to make a contribution and found the Love-A-Sister program from the Fistula Foundation. I am happy that every year the money I give enables a woman to have an operation. and recover her quality of life.
