Smile Train does something no ordinary charity can. It raises a child's self worth. It makes an outcast child an acceptable member of the community. It thereby creates another possible creator of a cancer vaccine, or genius engineer, or philanthropic leader. The possibilities of a recipient of cleft pallet repair are innumerable.
