There are so many good charities providing services to the needy, but practicality required that we limit our donations to just a few. SmileTrain is at the top of our list for several reasons. 1) We love charities that serve children - the most innocent of all who suffer. 2) For such a small amount of money, a child's life is changed profoundly. Those who have not been able to attend school or have any future prospects for a job or marriage have their life given back to them in a matter of a couple hours of surgery. 3) We appreciate that all administrative costs are covered by separate donations - knowing that 100% of our money is spent on the actual surgery.
