Review for Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation Inc, North Reading, MA, USA
We've had the pleasure to adopt a couple of IG's from this rescue group in the past 10 years. Our first IG was Mia, a senior who probably didn't have much hope of being adopted since she was 13 years old and "crotchety". :) We fell in love right away. She was healthy and well cared for before we adopted her, they had even made sure her dental was up to date, which can get quite expensive in senior IG's. Our second love was Tino, a 9 year old iggie. Again, they had taken great care of him. He even had to have 17 teeth removed because his mouth was so rotten. But by the time we got him he was healthy and well loved. Since the dogs are in foster homes first it was helpful to know their temperament and their likes/dislikes before we met them. The rescue group was obviously concerned with making sure the dogs went into the right homes. They even performed a home inspection and reference checks, which may seem like a pain, but we completely understand the point of it. They care about the dogs well being, above and beyond anything else. That's their role and they do a great job. Here are some pics of Mia and Tino.
