Review for The Puppy Mill Project, Chicago, IL, USA

Rating: 1 stars

In my opinion, this is not an effective organization and I would not recommend supporting or donating to them. There are many amazing organizations out there who do real, effective work for puppy mill dogs! Although they look good on the outside, this organization is unfortunately not one of them. They are known for taking credit for others' work, treating their volunteers terribly, and being badly managed. Although this organization puts on a big show, they do not do any effective work. I highly urge you NOT to put your funds and energy towards this group. As a former volunteer of this organization who was once very involved (extremely involved with the inside operations of this organization), I speak from personal experience. Many volunteers who were deeply involved were badly treated and have now left the organization, like myself. Now a much more experienced activist and in college studying nonprofit management, I can even more clearly see how badly managed and ineffective this organization is. Please check out The Companion Animal Protection Society, which is an extremely effective organization and does REAL work for puppy mill dogs. This is all my opinion, taken from personal experience.

Very sad to see this naysayer feels the need to malign our efforts across social media, especially given no hands on experience with our organization. Instead, she seeks to promote another organization. Our work is well known by the rescues and other non profits we partner with, and by our supporters and volunteers.
