We moved to Puerto Rico in October of 2016. We were shocked and horrified by the amount of unwanted dogs on the streets here. What was worse was these heartless people throw them out when they are puppies and not weined from their mommas yet. We rescued two sets of sisters who were in this situation. The first set were only 2 months when abandoned and second set were only 6 weeks old. With DefensaRicon's help we have taken 4 doggies off the street and given them forever homes. The wonderful work that this organization does for dogs, cats and horses on this island is commendable. These people really care. They don't just throw some food out for a stray they throw out a life line to these defenseless animals. They will even fly these animals to the states if that's were the forever home happens to be. Thank you for being such a wonderful organization that goes the extra mile and does it with heart.
