Review for St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, SD, USA

Rating: 5 stars

St. Joseph's is a model institution for the care and education of the Lakota Indians. I feel it is our duty to help support these children and outreach programs in payment for what we the USA did to them in the 1800's. We lied to them and cheated them out of their lands and culture and forced upon them our ways destroying their religious and cultural beliefs. I have been at Chamberlain, South Dakota and have been impressed with the staff and facilities there. They have tried to become self sufficient with power and heat sources. I believe it is worth a look and donate monthly to them by bankdraft.

Thank you for your comments and support! Since 1927, St. Joseph's Indian School has provided care and education for Native American boys and girls. We provide for the basic welfare of the Lakota children (food, clothing and medical care) with special emphasis on the spiritual, emotional and educational development of each child, while respecting their culture and heritage

Pilamaya – thank you – for helping us meet each Lakota child’s basic needs … and giving them so much more such as college scholarships, programs that strengthen families, nutritious food and a cultural education. We truly appreciate your support.
