Let me start off by saying I am a 30 retiree from the military and if it was simply a request for donation to support this effort I would still be on board! Supporting military kids financially to continue their education hits me at my core because I have kids that fall into this category. With that being said, the fundraising golf event is truly exceptional! This 2017 event marks my second year of participation and as great a time as 2016 was, this year was even better! I am a golf fanatic and the location (Mirror Lake in Villa Rica, Ga.) is simply superb. It consisted of a fun filled practice round, followed by a BBQ meal with a scenic view of the course in the background. During the meal, Jazz Artists performing live consisted of a Vocalist, Horns Specialist and a Violinist. Words cannot begin to express how wonderful that was, I just hope that they will be performing at next Year's Event. The next day the scramble tourney went and it was overflowing with opportunities to win great prizes. At the end of the round and during the follow-on luncheon there were also additional opportunities to win prizes from the multiple raffle drawings and silent auction. For those golf fanatics like me, the next day there was an opportunity to play another exceptional course (the Frog) in the local area. Next year the intent is to hold the event in Orlando Fl., It's a no-brainer that I'm in, but I'm bringing my better half as well this time because what goes on during the event goes beyond the golfing and I am positive that she will have a wonderful time as well. Excited for Ketia4Kids 2018!
