Great experience with the Roberto Clemente Clinic. The staff are welcoming and encouraging. We were able to see a ton of outreach programs that the clinic coordinates. Our group did not speak much spanish and we felt like that was a bit of a detriment, though the volunteer coordinator is fluent in english and spanish and was always stepping in to assist with translations. Meeting the medical staff in the community and learning about the nicaraguan health care system was an invaluable experience. Overall excellent experience and would highly recommend the clinic to anyone looking to volunteer in a health care capacity.
