Review for Assistance League of Charlotte, CHARLOTTE, NC, USA
The Assistance League of Charlotte is an important, and well-run,asset to our community. These volunteers provide clothing in the form of school uniforms and coats, shoes, underwear, and tolietries to thousands of our community's most needy students. These ladies order, sort and deliver daily snacks to dozens of schools and serve thousands of economically challenged in this small way to help them get through their school day without an empty stomach. The Thrift Shop that the Assistance League runs is not only beautiful but so efficent. It serves as their primary source of funds - but through their well priced items, repair and press job on clothing, and complete inspection and repair on household items, and furniture offerings - the Assistance League Thrift Shop is an important shopping haven for many of our city's residents to make ends meet. The Teen Court program is unique both to our County and the only one of it's kind for an Assistance League in the US. This program has made a difference in changing the lifes of teens - not just a way to get them out of the court experience. In addition it had saved the court system so much time and money! The Assistance League of Charlotte NC is a true gem in our community for the one of a kind work they do!
