Review for Pathways To Volunteering, Canoga Park, CA, USA
I got involved with Pathways to volunteering through Craig. I was interested in exposing my daughters to volunteering work and teaching them compassion, empathy so that they can in turn learn to be better people and affect the world and others in a good way. I had found an event that Craig was hosting and I told him that I wanted my daughters to be involved as well. I was instantly impressed with how Craig took into consideration of the ages of my daughters, what their abilities were and how he could involve them. Craig made sure that we all mattered and that we had something that we could do that was within our abilites. One of my daughters has disabilities and is very very shy, yet she was never excluded from any of the volunteer activities and she was made to feel like she was able to contribute. After our first volunteer event together, we just kept volunteering whenever something came up that was a good match for us. Craig would also notify me and gave my daughters and I more great opportunities to continue to volunteer. To me, not only was this a great humanitarian thing to do. But above all else I valued the important opportunities that afforded my children for growth and learning, to become better human beings. I have volunteered on my own and also with other groups and I can say that volunteering with Craig has by far been the very best because he always looks out for his volunteers welfare first and foremost. The events are always good meaningful events that has good impact for the recipient and the volunteers. Craigs events also are generally much more organized than most. I would definitely recommend the group that he has created. If you want to make a difference in our world but don't have the time to search for causes than definitely work with Pathways to Volunteering. It's a great group of people and you will find yourself making life long friends with people who are comitted and caring!
